About Fjell

Fjell is Norwegian
for mountain.

It is also a useful design test: build for the terrain, carry only what earns its weight, and leave a clear path through.

From one wrist to a wider world

Fjell began with Garmin watch faces—small pieces of software where every pixel, colour, and power decision matters. That discipline now travels to iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Maiden brings an RC pilot's hangar, workshop tools, checklists, and logbook together. Summiter turns the stairs already in Apple Health into one long climb. right_seat is next. The subjects differ; the approach does not.

Software should fit its setting

A phone used beside a running engine is not a phone used on the sofa. A watch seen outdoors is not a small phone. Interfaces are designed around the real screen, the available sensors, and the moment of use—not adapted from one universal mockup.

Private, quiet, and paid for honestly

There are no Fjell accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking. Data stays on your devices or in services you control, such as your private iCloud. Apps are free to try where that makes sense, with one-time purchases rather than subscriptions.

Where things stand

There are 3 Apple apps shown today, with right_seat in development, plus 15 published Garmin apps and watch faces supporting 115 devices between them. The collection grows deliberately.
