You already climb stairs. Summiter makes them add up to something.
- Nothing to start. Summiter reads Flights Climbed from Apple Health. No workout to log and nothing to remember: if Health counted it, you're climbing.
- Start today, or start high. Begin from today, or credit every flight Health has ever recorded and start hundreds of floors up.
- 51 landmarks. In order, each one taller than the last: the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, El Capitan, Mount Fuji, the Matterhorn, K2 and Everest. Each has a summit screen, a real elevation and something worth knowing. You don't pick a goal; the next one just arrives.
- Today and your pace. A hero screen for the landmark you're on, in its own weather and light. Today's flights, your pace over the last four weeks, and the day you'll reach the top.
- The full route. Every summit behind you and every one still ahead.
- Widgets and complications. Small and medium Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets and Apple Watch complications, showing how far up you are.
- Apple Watch app. Stays in step with your iPhone.
- Summit alerts. A notification when Health records enough stairs to reach a landmark.
- Share card. A rendered card for the summits worth telling someone about.
- Progress only goes up. A summit you've reached can't be taken back by a late Health correction or a new phone. Landmarks you've passed keep their date.
The free climb and the full climb
The first ten landmarks are free, all the way up the Burj Khalifa. One purchase, once, unlocks the remaining 41 to the summit of Everest. There is no subscription.
Unlocking recalculates nothing: you continue exactly where you already stand. The purchase unlocks every device signed in to the same Apple Account, including your Apple Watch.
After Everest
Every floor above the summit keeps counting. Whenever you want the route again, start over from the Statue of Liberty: your total is never reset, and the ascent you finished stays on the record.
Garmin
If you also wear a Garmin, Summiter for iPhone and iPad and Summiter on the watch can stay on the same climb by exchanging one number: your total floors. It travels through Garmin Connect on your iPhone, and nothing else is shared.
The two are sold in different stores. A Connect IQ purchase does not unlock the iPhone app, and an App Store purchase does not unlock the watch app.
