What you need
- A printer, or a label maker that prints images
- Clear tape
Steps
- Open the aircraft or battery in Maiden and tap Show QR code.
- Tap Print or share, then Print. Or save the image to print later.
- Cut the code out and tape it where the camera can see it, such as inside the canopy or on the battery's label.
- Later, open the Camera app and point it at the code, then tap the Maiden link that appears.
Good to know
- A code works where NFC doesn't, such as through carbon fiber, and needs no stickers. On iPad: A code works through carbon fiber and needs nothing but paper and tape.
- Cover the code with clear tape outdoors or near fuel. A scuffed code still reads if most of it shows.
- A code and an NFC tag for the same model open the same place, so you can use both. On iPad: A code printed from any of your devices opens the same model or battery, whichever one scans it.
If it doesn't work
- Safari opens instead of Maiden
- Open Maiden once, then try the code again. Or touch and hold the link and choose Open in Maiden.
Words used here
- NFC tag
- A small sticker your iPhone reads when you hold it close. Maiden writes a link to a model or battery on it.
