Run the pre-flight checklist

Steps

1. Open the aircraft and tap Pre-flight checklist. Or, on the Flights screen, tap Checklist.
2. Do the step on the model, then tap Check.
3. Tap Skip for a step that doesn't apply. Required steps can't be skipped.
4. To hear each step, tap Read aloud at the top.
5. When every check is done, tap Start flight timer.

Good to know

• Hands-free listens for you to say check after each step, so your hands stay on the model. Turn it on at the top.
• Say check only once the step is done. Voices nearby can tick steps too.
• Things to check from your last flight come first.
• The screen stays on while the checklist is open.
• Hold the iPhone to the model's NFC tag to open it at the field. iPhone only

NFC tag

A small sticker your iPhone reads when you hold it close. Maiden writes a link to a model or battery on it.
