Time a flight

Get a warning before it's time to land, on screen and on the Lock Screen.

Written for iPhone. Anything that's different on iPad is marked.

Steps

  1. On the Flights screen, tap Start timer. Or open the aircraft and tap Start flight timer under Fly.
  2. Check the aircraft and battery. The last aircraft you flew is already picked.
  3. Set the planned flight time with the −1 min and +1 min buttons, or − and + for 15 seconds. If a suggestion from past flights shows, you can tap it.
  4. Tap Start timer as you take off.
  5. A minute before the end you get a warning, then an alert when it's time to land.
  6. After landing, tap Stop and log flight.

Good to know

  • The timer keeps running on the Lock Screen, so you can put the iPhone away.
  • Turn on Speak alerts to hear one minute left and time to land.
  • If you wear an Apple Watch, the timer runs there too and taps your wrist for each alert. iPhone only

If it doesn't work

An alert didn't come
Check that Focus and Low Power Mode aren't silencing Maiden, and that its notifications are on in the Settings app.
