Make text bigger and hear steps aloud

Maiden follows your iPhone's text size, and it can read guides and checklists aloud.

Written for iPhone. The steps are the same on iPad.

Steps

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. This is Apple's Settings app, not Settings in Maiden.
  2. Tap Accessibility, then Display & Text Size, then Larger Text.
  3. Turn on Larger Accessibility Sizes, then drag the slider to the right.
  4. Go back to Maiden. Its text and buttons are now bigger.
  5. To hear a guide, tap Read aloud near its top.
  6. To pick the voice, open Settings in Maiden and tap Voice.

Good to know

  • Bold Text, on the same Display & Text Size screen, makes letters easier to read outdoors.
  • A checklist can read each step aloud. Tap Read aloud at the top of the checklist.
  • Maiden works with VoiceOver, which reads everything on screen, including meter readings.
